An Interview with Kayla

“Can you think of a time when you have had a prayer answered while serving your mission here in Piura, Peru?”
“Yes many. There was this time where we had been looking for a room to rent for weeks and we hadn’t found anything. And our ward had been suffering so we were reading scriptures and praying for them and we decided to go heart attacking. So we went out and did that and stopped and realized we only had a certain amount of hearts left so we were trying to decide who to go to so we prayed about it and we felt inspired to go to a certain family. So we head over there and as we were going we looked up and there was a sign saying ‘apartment for rent.’ So we walked in and asked about it and it was the perfect room and the perfect place, it was everything we wanted. Then we do the heart attacking and leave and not more than an hour later the dad called us who was less active and he was crying on the phone. He said, ‘You guys hit the home right when we needed it. I can’t believe that you would think of us.’ So it was an answer to many prayers.”
“How have you seen the gospel change peoples lives?”
“The Gospel is what picks anybody up from whatever they are in and it just helps them become something they never thought they could be. I have seen people who are angry, sad, frustrated with their lives from economical reasons or circumstances that have happened to them. Perhaps other people have abused them and when they find the gospel and find who Jesus Christ is they find happiness and they just glow. And you just see that they are happy even though nothing has changed around them but they have found who Christ is.”

Hello! My name is Sandi. My hubby and 6 kids and I call Southern California home. I am a fan of anything radiating the light of Christ. Two years ago, my daughter Claire and I created the instagram account @MormonFaces and ever since then we have been asking members of the Church how they have seen the hand of The Lord in their lives, or other spiritually minded questions. After listening to more than 500 people answer I feel that it has been eternally imprinted on my heart that in fact The Lord is in the details of our lives.
