The Song of the Righteous

When things aren’t certain, you can always count on music. There’s nothing like jamming out that will make your nagging worries seem far away.
These are some of the tunes that I’ve been enjoying to keep the winter blues away.

“Blue Eyes,” “Talk About You,” and “Make You Happy,” all by Mika.
“Talk Too Much” by COIN. (While people will always talk too much, I can’t fathom there will be a time when one could play this song too much.)
“Second Guessing Games” by Colony House.
“Can’t Hide” by Whethan, ft. Ashe.
“Still on Fire” and “Somewhere in my Heart” by Aztec Camera. (This is a solid 80’s throwback, which is as good an indication as any of good music.)
“Shots- Broiler Remix,” “Start Over,” and “Rise Up,” all by Imagine Dragons (the Mormons’ favorite indie band).

The Songs of the Righteous:
Despite all these exciting and fun tunes, if I could have everyone in the world listen to any three songs, it would have to be a certain three hymns sung by BYU Vocal Point: Nearer My God, to Thee, Come Thou Fount, and Savior, Redeemer of My Soul.
No music in the world has affected me so deeply as these ethereal and spiritual hymns. They’ve changed my life and my relationship with God. Every time I hear them, I am filled with the desire to share such wonderful music with everyone I see.
