One breath in

One breath out
Peace wraps the world as the sun touches the hill tops
Yet my tummy is twirling
Despite the dewy grass curling
despite the dewy grass curling
The new day
Full of possibilities
Yet…
My brain is only focusing on the negative
On the uncontrollable
I hope you can’t see this
My mom yells to have a good day
My seminary teacher warmly greets me
Despite these loving sayings
I feel trapped in my own thoughts
I struggle to break through
I struggle to break through
‘You’re not funny enough”
“Brave enough”
“Kind enough”
“Smart enough”
“You are not enough”
My thoughts scream
My thoughts scream
They are wrong
They are wrong
One breath in
One breath out
One look at the blues, pinks, and purples dotting the sky
The clean smell of fresh cut grass tickles my nose
You can see the love woven there
By one loving Heavenly Father
By one loving Heavenly Father
To fall
To make a mistake
Is to be human
Is to be human
“I give unto men weakness that they may be humble…
for if they humble themselves before me and have faith in me,
then will I make weak things become strong unto them.”
Ether 12:27
Ether 12:27
You are not alone in this fight
He is there
Hand outstretched
His love all encompassing
His love all encompassing
To reach up and grab hold of His hand
Is to let do of the unimportant
Allow Him to unravel your thoughts
To release you from the bands in which you are caught
Your are enough with Him
Your are enough with Him
