An Interview with Josie

“A little while ago my grandpa passed away. I grew up across the street from him so I was really close to him. He was so strong in the gospel and was the best example I could have had as a grandpa. I was there as he passed and it was hard. That whole experience was filled with mixed emotions because it was hard seeing him suffer. I remember my sister and I were sitting by his bed, we love to sing, that is what comforts us and so we decided to sing some hymns to my grandpa. He wasn’t responsive then but you could tell his breathing was a little more relaxed. We could totally feel the spirit in that room. Music is a big part of my life and I was grateful for how it comforted us that night.”

“What are your feelings about the Resurrection?”
“It ties back to to my grandpa, I am grateful for our Savior for so many reasons but specifically so we can live again with those who have passed on. It’s hard to explain in words, it’s more of a feeling – I just know that we can be together as a family again. I just know it’s going to happen. My eyes have been opened to that since my grandpa’s passing.”

Hello! My name is Sandi. My hubby and 6 kids and I call Southern California home. I am a fan of anything radiating the light of Christ. Two years ago, my daughter Claire and I created the instagram account @MormonFaces and ever since then we have been asking members of the Church how they have seen the hand of The Lord in their lives, or other spiritually minded questions. After listening to more than 500 people answer I feel that it has been eternally imprinted on my heart that in fact The Lord is in the details of our lives.
