An Interview with Camille

Have you felt the hand of The Lord in your life recently?

Yes, this past weekend my Grandmother took me on an incredible trip to see some of the major church history sites in upstate New York and Pennsylvania. What a wonderful experience it was! The highlight for me was visiting the Sacred Grove where as a young boy, Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God by the Savior himself. While there, I decided to follow the example of Joseph and ask a handful of questions that had been on my heart lately. I wandered through the grove a bit and eventually found the perfect spot to sit and ponder and pray. I gazed up at the trees and examined the sun peeking through. I looked at the trees and thought about what some of them just might have witnessed. I thought about the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the events that happened there. I thought about how those things have shaped my life. Soon I closed my eyes tightly, prayed as hard as I could, and asked for the knowledge that I lacked. As I conversed with the Lord, I felt Him speak peace to my mind concerning each matter that had been weighing me down. I know my Father loves me and is aware of me. There is no greater witness we can receive than from Him! I know He called Joseph Smith to be His prophet in this dispensation and that Thomas S. Monson leads us today by the same authority. My heart it filled with gratitude and love for him as well as for my Savior who lifted my burden that day in my own sacred grove.

Hello! My name is Sandi. My hubby and 6 kids and I call Southern California home. I am a fan of anything radiating the light of Christ. Two years ago, my daughter Claire and I created the instagram account @MormonFaces and ever since then we have been asking members of the Church how they have seen the hand of The Lord in their lives, or other spiritually minded questions. After listening to more than 500 people answer I feel that it has been eternally imprinted on my heart that in fact The Lord is in the details of our lives.
